Leadership Change at Malta Gaming Authority: Charles Mizzi Named CEO

In a strategic leadership shift, the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has confirmed the appointment of Charles Mizzi as its Chief Executive Officer, starting January 26, 2024.

Why MGA Choose Charles Mizzi?

Mizzi will be taking the reins from Carl Brincat, marking the culmination of a selection process that began in October.

Prior to joining the MGA, Mizzi has garnered substantial experience at the Residency Malta Agency over five years. His transition into the role will be facilitated by a month-long shadowing period with the outgoing CEO, Brincat, underscoring his commitment to maintaining operational continuity.

Reflecting on his appointment, Mizzi conveyed his enthusiasm and commitment to enhancing Malta’s gaming sector, focusing on strategic advancement and stakeholder value.

Minister Silvio Schembri expressed his appreciation to Brincat for his leadership and contributions during his tenure. Schembri also emphasized Mizzi’s proven track record in operational management, confident in his ability to build upon the MGA’s current successes and drive the organization towards new heights.
