The 2024 SBC Awards: iGaming’s Finest Shine in Lisbon

The 2024 SBC Awards took Lisbon by storm as the brightest stars in iGaming gathered at the prestigious MEO Arena on 26 September. Over 1,200 industry professionals came together to celebrate innovation, leadership, and excellence in the iGaming world, with the awards recognising outstanding achievements across 39 categories.

A Night of Recognition and Excellence

As the grand finale to the SBC Summit, the Awards Ceremony showcased the companies and individuals who have set the standard in 2024. The competition was fierce, but Kaizen Gaming dominated with victories in both Casino Operator of the Year and Operator of the Year – Large. Betsson Group secured their place among the best betting sites as Sportsbook Operator of the Year, while Campeón Gaming and Retabet took home the Operator of the Year – Medium and Small titles respectively.

Emerging stars also had their moment, with Vegas Legends and Boomerang Partners claiming the awards for Rising Star in Casino and Rising Star in Sports Betting. Meanwhile, bet365 Partners once again secured Best Affiliate Program, affirming their leading role in the affiliate space.

Driving Innovation and Creativity Forward

Innovation was front and centre at this year’s SBC Awards. Soft2Bet stole the spotlight with wins for Innovation in Mobile and Innovation in Casino Entertainment, showcasing their cutting-edge approach. Coolbet took home the award for Innovation in Casino & Gaming Entertainment, while Novibet received the Marketing Campaign of the Year recognition.

The leadership awards recognised those steering the industry forward, with SOFTSWISS crowned Employer of the Year, and Corinne Valletta (Betsson), Marina Ostrovtsova (BGaming), and Uri Poliavich (Soft2Bet) sharing the coveted Leader of the Year award.

Tech and Supplier Leaders Steal the Show

Technology and supplier categories were hotly contested, with IDnow securing Fraud & Compliance Solution of the Year for the second consecutive year. Pay4Fun and Noda stood out in the payments arena, winning Payment Innovation and Payment Solution of the Year.
